>> reporter: exactly two weeks ago, police in arizona released this surveillance video of emily and her mother walking out of phoenix children hospital. norma bracamontes went into the bathroom, removed an iv, changed her clothes and drove her 11-year-old daughter over the border.
>> she's happy, getting better. and i didn't bring her to die.
>> reporter: the bracamontes, who haven't been charged with a crime, say they removed emily from the hospital after she contracted a bacterial infection in her right arm, which had to be amputate d. the family says they were pressured over health care insurance and mounting medical bills. prohibited by federal law from talking about emily 's medical treatment , the hospital released a statement saying we steadfastly disagree with the assertions brought forth regarding the quality of care emily received. emily 's health and well-being continues to be our primary concern. phoenix police say the late-night get away could have cost emily her life, adding her parents may still be charged with child endangerment and abuse. we have been unable to verify anything the family has said regarding medical treatment to emily . the family has been uncooperative. today, emily 's parents say they have no plans to return to the u.s. with their daughter, a little girl who says she, too, has no regrets.
