Military Rec: Indoor soccer sign-ups under way

Registration is open for Fort Bragg Morale, Welfare and Recreation's indoor soccer season.

The season begins Jan. 20 and ends March 4 with the conclusion of a double-elimination postseason tournament.

All games will be played at Ritz-Epps Fitness Center.

Games will be in a 7-on-7 format in 20-minute halves with a five-minute half time.

Roster numbers are unlimited, but the tournament is open to military and government ID cardholders only.

The cost per team is $50. The deadline to register is Jan. 16.

Registration is available online through fortbraggmwr.com. Teams can register in person at the Sports Office on Reilly Road.

For more information about the indoor soccer program, contact intramural sports coordinator Steve Johnson at 396-1217.

All American Trail

The All American Trail will remain closed through Jan. 3 for deer hunting season.

The trail has been closed since Oct. 1 as a safety precaution because hunters with firearms are sometimes in nearby areas.

The trail will reopen Jan. 4, but users should observe the signs posted along the trail to know if it's open or closed.

You can double-check the status of the trail by contacting the Fort Bragg Wildlife Branch at 432-5415 or 432-5427.

SKIES Unlimited

SKIES Unlimited is offering some youth programs starting in January.

Tumbling classes will be available for ages 1 to 3 with parents and ages 4 and 5 without parents.

Cheerleading-stunt classes will be offered in three age groups for 4- to 17-year-olds.

The price for the tumbling program varies by age, but each cheer/stunt session is $38 per participant.

For more information about the classes and schedule, contact the Tolson Youth Activities Center at 643-6039.
