Aakash, the sub 3k tablet from Datawind, was up for sale for INR 2500 a fortnight ago and sold out promptly. However, there is still some hope for those who?d like to have the cheapest tablet now available in India. Now there is Ncarry.com from Nimbuzz Group that has tied up with Datawind and is offering limited availability of the Aakash tablet at their site. Shipping time of the tablet is expected to be 5 to 7 days, according to the site.
There are quite a few payment options that buyers have at Ncarry. They can opt for cash on delivery or pay by cheque/DD. The site, however, mentions preference will be given to those who have selected for pre-paid options. The other restriction in this purchase is the non-availability of the Ubislate tablet, which happens to be the Aakash tablet with GPRS features, while the next Aakash version also remains off bounds as of now.
