Careers UAE 2012, now in its 12th year, is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and runs from 5 - 7 March 2012. More than 88 companies in both the private and public sectors will be showcasing career and training opportunities for an expected 6,000 UAE visitors.
New to Careers UAE this year is "Career Build", an exciting UAE national student business competition designed to encourage the development and generation of new ideas for start-up businesses. Organised in collaboration with Dubai SME and key UAE universities, the competition requires students to submit their business ideas and concepts on a competition entry form for the review of a high profile panel of judges. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their business ideas at Careers UAE before the judging panel award prizes to the winner and highly commended entries.
Highlighting the role of the initiatives, Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre, said,
"Careers UAE is a valuable platform for bringing together top private and public organisations operating in the UAE and Emirati talent looking to start or further their careers. Both Lunch with Leaders and Career Build offer a potential springboard for students to launch their careers that could not easily be accessed in any other environment, and the business leaders contributing their time and advice are delighted to be participating."
Introduced for the first time to run alongside Careers UAE 2012 is the HR Leaders Forum for middle to senior management in personnel and regional HR leaders within all business sectors.
Open exclusively for UAE Nationals and HR practitioners, Careers UAE 2012 will be held in the halls 5-8 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC). The event will take place from 5 - 7 March 2012 and will be open from 10am to 6pm daily.
